- Lanford designs was started in 1975 by Alan Ford when he saw
a niche in the petroleum market for stainless steel pump island
surrounds.
- A section was also set up to offer site servicing and repairs.
- The 80's saw the introduction of GRP components to the product
range, mainly designed to cope with the environmental restrictions
being applied to new and renovated filling stations.
- The 90's saw the opening of an IT department to offer software
training, and in 99 a database development section was started
specializing in Filemaker Pro solutions.
